Long/Short Virtual Portfolio Opening Positions
January 04, 2021 - 8:10 amHere are the positions of the Long/Short Virtual Portfolio at the market open this morning, and we're starting with 6 long and 4 short positions. Some of these longs are in the Long only portfolio as well. The goal of this virtual portfolio is also to perform better than the S&P 500, but we're doing it with some short positions and we may go to extreme long or short holdings at any time.
Here we will also follow thematic trends that may play out over months, and with our shorts we will be extra cautious to avoid large losses. Calculations for margin requirements are not going to be taken into account with the holdings, and all short positions will add the equivalent balance to the cash position.
